To memo rate the fact that 35 years ago Scott Carpenter
orbited the earth while wearing a 24 hour version navitimer the Cosmonaute
Scott Carpenter was produced in 1996. It no doubt has a stunning backside
but the dial doesn't give me the feeling I'm travelling back through time
nor space for that matter.
There are sources that claim Scott had a hand in the design of the 24-hour
Navitimer in 1962. I personally think that if he had a hand in the design
of the 1996 Scott Carpenter Cosmonaute it would have looked something
like this (check rollover image on your right;-)
Well maybe a nice idea when Breitling celebrates the fifties anniversary
of this space flight in 2012.
