History records: Introduction of silver/white subdials.

Soon after the 24-Navitimer was launched the black dial was replaced for a black dial with silver/white sub dials.
When I first saw the original black dial version I was stunned by it's beauty. I personaly think that the black dial does the model more just.
I found no literature on this matter but I can imagine that it was done for better reading.
