Beside the fact that some of the AOPA logo models (also with the new styled bezel) are produced in these years this is the logo that is been used throughout the seventies.
Personally I think this to be the most inspiring Breitling logo. I like it's abstract look and I think that the best composition for the dial is without the number 24.

In 2002 Breitling launched the Navitimer 1952 special edition. It was fitted with the two stylized planes logo and brushed to give it the feel of the first Navitimer models. Stunning result in my opinion! I was hoping for a Cosmonaute special as well because in the same year it was 40 years ago that the 24-hour Navitimer made his 3 laps around earth. What more reason do you need to reproduce the 1962 Cosmonaute or make a Cosmonaute 1962 special edition with the Double wing logo. My hopes are set on the year 2012 when it's 50 years ago that the first Breitling watch went to space. A new Navitimer special 24 hour edition is called for by then.
